"Although marijuana is only medically legal in Pennsylvania, three state senators introduced a bill that would allow all types of 'edibles' to be legal within the state.

Senate Bill number 538 was introduced on Tuesday, April 4 by Pennsylvania State Senators, Dan Laughlin, John Kane, and Katie Muth that would amend the original act of April 17, 2016, called 'An act establishing a medical marijuana program.'"

"Pennsylvania state Representative Malcolm Kenyatta says he wants school nurses to be able to administer prescribed medical marijuana to students. Currently, Pennsylvania students are allowed to receive doses of prescribed medical marijuana on school grounds, but those doses must be administered by a parent.

Kenyatta says his planned legislation would amend those rules so that school nurses could potentially help alleviate the burden of parents having to come to school themselves.

The state representative says his legislative proposal is really about making sure kids can get their prescribed medicine from school nurses, even if it is medical marijuana."
